Abstract & Guidelines

Abstracts are expected to describe original work, previously unpublished and should indicate new and significant advances and their importance. Initially short abstracts comprising of approx. 300 words in length should be submitted online using the below links.

The invitation to submit an abstract does not constitute an offer to pay travel, accommodation or registration costs associated with the conference. Similarly, no speaker fee is paid to successful participants. All speakers must register for the conference and transfer registration fee. In specific cases the organising committee reserves the right to deviate from the standard procedure.

Submission of abstracts

The organizing committee invites you to submit a paper for a 20 minutes presentation and publication in the conference proceedings. Note that due to the limited number of presentations, it may be necessary to change the status from paper to poster! Prior to the submission of papers, authors are invited to submit an abstract first!

Short abstracts of papers/demonstrations/posters (in English, max. one A4 page and preferably including illustrative pictures and photo’s) should be send to info@dspe.nl. Please use the template and instructions to help you prepare your short abstract.

The deadline for submission is February 1, 2020. The Program Committee of the Conference will make the final decision on the acceptance of all contributions. Notification of acceptance will be sent before April 2, 2020. Note that due to the limited number of presentations, it may be necessary to change the status from paper to poster!

After approval of the abstract, we ask you to submit an extended abstract before June 15, 2020. This extended abstract will be processed in the syllabus.

Demonstrations/Posters

The demonstration of practical solutions and possibilities is important in the process of knowledge transfer and is always highly appreciated by the participants. We therefore encourage you to contribute to this part of the program to which considerable attention and time will be paid. To support the added value of the demonstrations and posters, part of the proceedings will be reserved for detailed descriptions of the demonstrations/posters. If it’s necessary the transportation costs  can be claimed afterward. Costs need to be known before the start of the conference at the organization.

Publication

All accepted contributions will be published in the conference proceedings as extended abstracts. This holds for oral presentations, posters and demonstrations. On acceptance of short abstracts, authors will be notified by email and provided with instructions for submitting extended abstracts.

All speakers must register for the conference and transfer registration fee. Authors are expected to attend in person to present their work. In specific cases the organising committee reserves the right to deviate from the standard procedure.
